Match : Spring Warm Up no.3

Commentary by Nick Darke : Warm up number 3 at Riverside Road produced an excellent turnout compared to the previous warm up matches. 26 anglers made the effort for a potentially tricky day. Riverside has only just re-opened for course fishing so we didn't quite no what to expect. After a great breakfast (thanks Brian) we drew our pegs and got setup. Typically as the whistle blew for the start of the match, it started to rain!! It rained on and off all day with some heavy showers and very strong winds which made the fishing extremely difficult. The fish weren't really playing ball either, forcing many to target smaller fish to try and build some sort of weight. Neil did best here with nearly 4lb of rudd - hardly makes for a good day Kev Hawes on one of the better pegs lost 5 carp fishing into snags. Even with animal gear it is nearly impossible to get them out!! With only a few bigger fish caught and many lost it was newcomer Dave Bellamy who came in first with a single fish. A beautiful 9lb 3oz Ghost Carp known as Butterscotch...Well done Dave!!

Butterscotch, weighing 9lb 30z was new face Dave Bellamy’s only fish on a grim day but was enough to win.
