That's it, all finished for Season 08-09 and well done me (Stan) for retaining the Championship title.

 

The last match, which I couldn't make was a bit of a struggle at Felmersham. From what I understand, Kev Hawes went back to his fav peg in the 'pike pool' and snatched 4.06 of small fish plus a double figure pike (again). Overall a bad day which is a shame as it fished so well the previous year.

 

Don't forget we have some Spring 'Warm Up' matches on our home waters to stop you getting rusty. The first match is at Frogmore after all. The draw time is 8.00, fishing 9.00 - 2.00.

Stan Kiddle crowned 07-08 Champion

After a number of nearly misses, Stan has at last managed to get his name on the converted VAC Championship trophy.

 

Stan framed in the top three no fewer than 10 times out of 16 matches with first places at Riverside and Frogmore and a Best-of-10 total of 940 points out of a maximum 1,000. In second place, on 875 was Neil Anderson without winning a match and third, on 835 points was Paul Bangs who picked up three 1st places out of 13 matches fished.
