Commentary by Stan: I should get Nick to write this as he won but I wouldn't want it to go to his head :)

Suffice to say that we didn't get this new water (for us) on a good day with strong winds whipping down the lake all day. Those with the wind off their backs were comfortable but those with the wind in their faces had the fish. Nick fished well to land 62lb of carp to about 4lb, mostly on pole fished catmeat in the margins.

A couple of good fish behind was Colin Earl who had the benefit of previous experience on the water. He was on the Silver Peg and found that a short chuck with a big expander on the hook and pellet feeder brought unmissable bites and, as he came 2nd, he picked up the last of our 'special' on the Golden Peg payouts and about £200 on top of his winnings on the day.

Matt Young didn't seem to smile despite fishing a very tidy match coming a good third on the peg to Colin's left and fishing similar tactics.

Consensus was that this was a fair venue with great potential. Not as prolific as Entire Farm but proper fishing rather than a hauling race
