Match Report Riverside Road 25.06.2000
The first Championship match of the season saw 26 turning out on a pleasant morning. This was also the first round of the Knockout Trophy , but with seventeen entrants only one match needed to take place and that pairing was J Tee vs L Chittenden.
Top weight on the day was an excellent 30lb 14oz by Andy Roe , this was all roach , bar one 4oz skimmer , taken off the top on maggot.This is the best all roach bag in memory.Second place went to Stewart Arrowsmith with a mixed bag totalling 22.11
A weight boosted by two good carp, one of 8lb 2oz and one of just over 5lb both taken on the pole on worm and caster. Third place went to Paul Bangs with another mixed bag including a 6lb carp , of 15lb 2oz. In the Knockout L Chittenden beat J Tee 10.0.0 to 5.7.0.
The match, including the raffle , raised just short of £60 for Kidney research , many thanks to Rodney Lee for his efforts on this front.
