The VAC are having yet another record year with membership
already up to last years record levels. With some 360 new
members this year we are now forecasting membership to exceed
1,700 for this season.
Even more important
is the fact that the VAC has over 170 junior members. Whilst
this is just over 10% of total membership it's so important that
youngsters come into the sport and are able to appreciate the
benefits of being a VAC member.

members will, in time, inherit the club and all it stands for.
The VAC therefore recognises the importance of supporting and
encouraging juniors. But are we doing enough? Are you a junior
member, or the parent of a junior member? What do you think the
VAC could do to help and encourage more juniors into the club?
Please share your thoughts and ideas by emailing the secretary
via the link on the left.

Club lands new
a new fishery every year has now become something of a
tradition for the VAC and we are pleased to continue this by
announcing a further stretch of the river Great Ouse.
Situated just north of Felmersham village, this attractive
stretch of river provides around 30 pegs and will no doubt
prove popular both with our competitions section as well as
the pleasure angler. Around 1,000 yards in length, the
fishery is on a long sweeping bend of the river, lined with
plantation willows with a mature tree-lined bank opposite
and is only 100 yards from the car park. There are slow,
wider lengths as well as faster runs and a good opportunity
to fish under the over- hanging trees and bushes on the far
bank. The car park is opposite the entrance and with careful
parking, you could get several vehicles in with more on
match days when all depart at the same time. Entry is by a
public footpath sign, following along side this path down to
