Ice one Dave

Member Dave Canning proved that there's more to fishing than catching fish. Visiting our Felmersham venue on the Ouse early on one of the coldest weekends recorded, he found the river and surroundings coated in a most beautiful frost.

Equipped with just a standard 10mp Casio digital camera he wandered the bankside and captured some amazing photos, the piecing low sunshine creating a magical effect.

Dave has graciously donated his pictures and if you would like a copy of the 4mb original (it makes a great Windows wallpaper) simply click here.

Dates for your diary

The 26th AGM will be held on April 18th. Our popular Open Day at Riverside is currently planned for Saturday July 14th.

Match News: Spring 'warm-up' matches are scheduled for April 8th (Frogmore) & 29th (Smallford) plus 13th May at Riverside.

The full 2012-13 fixture list is still being completed. With so many attending, (an average of 25 per match last year) we are having to look for some larger venues. Full details on the VAC Match pages in due course.

Keith Jones hit the jackpot at Leasey Bridge with this 2lb 1oz roach and the two 2lb+ perch below. Red maggot did the trick.

The trout season has kicked off in style at Riverside Road. Mike Ballard was there on the opening day and soon bagged his limit.
