Last month I reported on the many big fish landed around our waters. One or two people implied that I was exaggerating the truth and asked why there were no pictures of many of these giants?

Well, the answer is easy, not everyone has a camera with them, or can manage a good picture when they have. So I am grateful to Moor Mill bailiff Keith Speer (right) who sent me some cracking shots of one his recent bream catches.

Also, how many of you saw that great picture of Dave Currell's 4-8-8 crucian in the Angling Times? At just one ounce below the current British record, Dave used pole tactics to land the beauty from Moor Mill.

Four bream for 40lb in a session is good fishing in anyone's books, these beauties went 9-6, 9-10, 10-8 and 11-0.5. And all caught on simple float tactics.

First of the new supplements launched!!

For some months now the backroom boys of the VAC General Committee have been looking at ways to improve this website.

It would be wrong to set expectation now by mentioning some of our plans but I am delighted to announce the launch of the first of our new supplements - Verulam Carp

Just like the weekly fishing papers the VAC will now have supplement sites aimed specifically at target audiences. Chris Knight has spent many hours setting this up so click above and take a look and let Chris know what you think..

And yet more new water for Verulam Angling

Actually some of it is the same water, just the other bank! Following the relinquishment by Shefford AC, the club has acquired two sections of the north bank at our Felmersham fishery. Click here for more information.

Also, a reminder that VAC members now have access to some fantastic gravel pit fishing over at Troy Lake near Denham.  This is a water sharing arrangement and a strictly limited number of night fishing tickets are also available.

Two more fish from Riverside, left is young Bradley Wiffen with a 12lb common and right it's Martin Larner (again) with possibly the second largest fish in the lake at 16-09. There is a 19lb'er - anyone got pictures ????
