Let's hear it for the
L,J & Over 60's
Each season the VAC run a short series of four hour matches on
club waters for ladies, juniors (16 and under) and over 60's.
This season the first two matches have been particularly well
attended with around 20 members attending with ages from 8 to 83
!
Young Tom Williams, seen right with the
highlights of his winning 22lb catch from the second match at
Frogmore, is clearly a force for the future. He also beat the
field back in June with 13-08 from Riverside !!
Don't think you've missed out as two further matches are in your
club books; Riverside on Saturday 16th July and at Frogmore on
Saturday 13th August.
If
you are an L, J or 60+ then why not come along and join the fun?

Smallford |
latest |
|
. |
|
This venue has been very popular recently. And not surprising as
it continues to produce quality carp to those who make the
effort plus excellent tench, bream and even the odd big roach
and perch. |
Below we have Barry Killinger showing off two new fish recently
introduced and both just short of 30lb

|
|
Here's young Connor McGrath. A session earlier this year was
rewarded with this typical Smallford tench, just a few ounces
short of 6lb

Dave Clark is the
latest member to bank Keith the Koi, now safely back in the
Frogmore Match lake after a few years wandering around the
other lakes. Origanlly stocked in '96 around 5lb she is
struggling to hit double figures. Keith reports she went
9-12 and was caught on a trout pellet fished on a hair with
a small pva bag of pellets on the hook. Unfortunately she
came in like a wet sack
|
Pat
Waugh, along with husband Ian and daughter Clare (pictured
below providing 'advice') are regulars on VAC waters. Pat
was settled down on peg 11 at Frogmore competing in the L,J
and O' 60's.

Both had enjoyable
days with around 5lb from each going on the scales. |
