Hi Stan,
Thought you would be
interested to hear how Brian [Lakin] & I got on up to
Felmersham today - we started off on the top straight below
the bridge but it was awful - I only had two small fish and
Brian never had a bite, so we went down to the Island at
about 12 o'clock. Brian fished the backwater and quickly
caught 10lb of roach, and I fished the main river below
the Island and had six chub, best two were 6lb 8oz and 5lb
8oz.( all on cheese paste).
We were not the only ones there.
About four others fishing, most catching nice roach One chap
claimed a 14lb barbel last week and a 16lb'er a few weeks
before. Perhaps the monsters have come up from Radwell?

Match News : Spring
Friendlies
The
VAC 06-07 Championship Series will draw to a close over
the next month with matches on the Grand Union at Leighton
Buzzard and Marsworth. Remember that new faces are always
welcome and pools are optional.
If you prefer to try your
luck on our home venues we have a series of three friendly
matches this Spring; 22nd April - Frogmore, 13th May -
Smallford and 3rd June - Riverside. Pools will be optional
at £5 and just a 50p entry fee
